The daily commitment of the Group Management Committee
The Group Management Committee is a forum for discussing Group strategy and other high-level matters of interest to the Group. It is composed of approximately 60 executives from the Bank's 14 Business Units and 10 Service Units. The Group Management Committee meets at least once every quarter.
As of 2018, the members of the Group Management Committee have adopted collective objectives in terms of CSR, staff commitment, customer satisfaction and financial performance, the meeting of which play a role in their compensation.

Biography
A French national, Frédéric Oudéa is a graduate of France’s École polytechnique and École nationale d’administration. From 1987 to 1995, he held a number of positions in the French senior civil service, the Audit Department of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the Budget Ministry and the Cabinet of the Minister of the Treasury and Communication.He joined Societe Generale in 1995, successively holding the positions of Deputy Head and Head of the Corporate Banking arm in London. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Global Supervision and Development of the Equities Department. He became Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Societe Generale group in May 2002 and later Chief Financial Officer in January 2003.
In 2008, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Group. He was both Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale from May 2009 to May 2015. He has served as Chief Executive Officer since the separation in May 2015 of the functions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer.
He is Chairman of the Foundation of École polytechnique and member of Board of Directors of École polytechnique.

A French national, Philippe Aymerich is a graduate of France’s École des hautes études commerciales (HEC). He first joined Societe Generale's Inspection Division in 1987 where he performed audit and advisory work in a range of areas until 1994, at which time he was appointed Chief Inspector.In 1997, he joined Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking as Deputy Managing Director of SG Spain, in Madrid. From 1999 until 2004, he served in New York, first as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and later, from 2000, as Chief Operating Officer for SG Americas’ Corporate & Investment Banking arm. In 2004, he was appointed Head of the Automotive, Chemicals & General Industries Group in the Corporate & Institutions Division.
In December 2006, he was appointed Deputy Chief Risk Officer for Societe Generale group. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit du Nord in January 2012. He has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale since May 2018.

A French national, Diony Lebot holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Finance and Taxation from the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne. From 1986 to 2004, she held a range of positions within the Structured Finance businesses, the Financial Engineering Department before being appointed Head of Asset Finance.In 2004, she moved to the Corporate Coverage Department as Head of Corporate Coverage in Europe for the Corporates & Institutions Division. She was named Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Americas in 2007 and became a member of the Societe Generale group Management Committee. In 2012, she became Deputy Head of Coverage and Investment Banking and Chief Executive Officer for Global Banking and Investor Solutions Western Europe.
In March 2015, she was appointed Deputy Chief Risk Officer before becoming Group Chief Risk Officer in July 2016. She has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale since May 2018.

He left the Group in 1999 to found and run an internet start-up in the field of e-finance in Eastern Europe. He rejoined the Group in 2002 and continued his work within Societe Generale’s Inspection department. He was appointed to the Management Committee of the department in 2005 and in 2007 was appointed Chief of Staff for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. In 2009, he became Head of Strategy & Corporate Development and CEO of Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. He also became Deputy Head of Global Finance in January 2012, notably in charge of primary bond activities, securitisation, leveraged finance in addition to his regional responsibilities, which were further enlarged in 2013 to include private banking, asset management and securities services.

Biography
Sébastien Proto was appointed Deputy General Manager in September 2020. He joined Societe Generale as Head of Group Strategy in September 2018.Sébastien Proto started his career at the Inspectorate General of Finances (Inspection générale des finances), the French government’s interdepartemental auditing and supervisory body, in 2004, before becoming Deputy Chief of Staff and then Chief of Staff for the Minister of Budget, Public Accounts and Civil Service (2007-2009), Chief of Staff to the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Public Service (2010) and Chief of Staff of the Minister of Budget, Public Accounts and State Reform (2011-2012). He was a Managing Partner at Rothschild & Cie between 2013 and 2018.
Sébastien Proto graduated from ESSEC in Political Science, and previously attended the École nationale d’administration.

David Abitbol was appointed Head of SGSS in January 2019.
David joined Societe Generale in 1992 within the Group Finance division as an Actuary before taking up the role as Head of Financial Studies and Funding Operations within the Asset and Liability Management department. In 1997, he moved to Operations in Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) as Project Director for Interest Rate Derivatives and the Futures and Money Market activities. In 2000, David joined the Capital Market Fixed Income Business Line as Programme Director, where among others, he was the Bank’s representative for the SwapClear project which established the world’s first OTC clearing service with London Clearing House. In 2004, David moved back to Operations where he held various management positions and became Global Head of Operations of SG CIB in early 2010. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Societe Generale Asia Pacific and Chief Executive of Societe Generale Hong Kong Branch in March 2014.

Stéphane About was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Americas on the 4 January 2021.
Stéphane About began his career in 1986 as a trader for Credit Lyonnais in Paris. He joined Deutsche Bank in London in 1988 as head of European Currencies Trading then UBS in 1989 as Syndicate Manager European Currencies. He moved to S.G. Warburg Bank in 1994, first as head of Fixed Income in Paris and then as head of European Bond Trading based in London.
He joined CDC IXIS Securities Broker Action in 1995 as CEO and member of Board of Directors, becoming head of Capital Markets for IXIS Capital Markets North America in 2001 then global head of Fixed Income at IXIS CIB in 2003. He was named global head of Fixed Income, Commodities & Treasury at Natixis in 2010. In 2012, he was named Natixis Americas CEO, holding that role until 2019 when he became CEO, CIB of EMEA (except France).

Tim Albertsen has been serving as Deputy CEO of ALD since 2011. He has been active with ALD since 1997, the year he joined Hertz Lease (which was acquired by the Group in 2003). Prior to that, he was Regional Director for the Group in the Nordic & Baltic Countries and General Manager at Hertz Lease Denmark from 1997 until 2003. Previously to working at ALD, he was General Manager at Avis Leasing from 1995 until 1997 and Operations Manager at Avis Rent a Car from 1992 until 1995. Philippe Amestoy began his career with Arthur Andersen before joining Societe Generale’s inspection in 1987. In 2007, he was promoted General Delegate of the Grand Sud-Ouest region within Societe Generale’s French network. From 2011 to 2015, he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit du Nord, particularly in charge of marketing and business issues. In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Crédit du Nord Group and Director of Operations and Transformation for the French network in 2017. In 2019, he was appointed Director of the Societe Generale Retail Banking Network in France. Philippe Amestoy was appointed Deputy Head of International Retail Banking for Africa, the Mediterranean Basin & Overseas in July 2021.

He then joined Barings and JP Morgan in 1998, to develop its investment banking franchise in Europe and he became in 2001 Head of Mergers & Acquisition for JP Morgan in France. Thierry d’Argent joined the Mergers & Acquisitions’ team of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2009 and was appointed Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2010. He became Global Head of Corporate Finance in 2012 and then Co-Head of the Coverage and Investment Banking division in 2015. Thierry d’Argent was appointed Deputy Head of Global Banking and Advisory in July 2019. Thierry d’Argent has been a member of Societe Generale Group Management Committee since January 2014.

Pascal Augé began his career at Societe Generale Group in 1986. After working for eight years in the Group's internal auditing department, the "Inspection Generale", he joined Corporate and Investment Banking as deputy head of the media and telecom Group. In 1997 he became deputy head for Western Europe. In 1998, he took over as head of Corporate Banking in London, and was then country head for Germany in 2001 and then for Italy in 2005. In 2007, Pascal Augé was appointed Director of Human Resources and member of the Executive Committee at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, and in 2009 he became Head of Western Europe for SG CIB.
In 2012 Pascal Augé was appointed Deputy Head of Global Transaction Banking and a member of the Group’s General Management Committee on 1 January 2013. He became Head of Global Transaction and Payment Services in March 2013. In November 2019, Pascal Augé was appointed Head of the Inspection and Audit division.

In 2018, Ingrid Bocris took responsibility for the Partnerships, Corporate and Innovation division of Societe Generale Assurances. Ingrid Bocris started her career in 1997 in management and strategic consulting at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and from 1999 at Arthur Andersen Management.

Gilles Briatta served in various roles within the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both in France and internationally, and has devoted most of his career to European issues. He was Technical Adviser to the Office of the French Deputy Minister of European Affairs from 1995 to 1997, Head of European Cooperation from 2004 to 2007 and General Secretary for European Affairs and European Union Advisor to the French Prime Minister François Fillon until 2011. Gilles Briatta joined Societe Generale as Deputy General Secretary on the 2 November 2011, before being appointed Group General Secretary the 1 September 2015.

Contributing to a study on the digital transformation of large companies led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011, she joined the London office of Capgemini to lead the digital centre of the Financial Services sector. Recruited in 2012 by Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Digital Delivery in the Online Services Department, she was appointed Innovation Director and set up the Innovation Labs and the Digital Academy before being appointed Risk Transformation Director at Lloyds Banking Group.
In September 2018, Claire Calmejane joined Societe Generale as Group Chief Innovation Officer.Claire Calmejane studied IT Engineering with a degree from the École pour l'informatique et les techniques avancées (EPITA) and a Masters degree from the HEC French school of management.

Sylvain Cartier is appointed co-Head of Global Markets activities on 22 June 2021, while retaining his position as Head of Fixed Income, Credit and Currencies, which he has held since Q3 2019.
Previously, Sylvain was Head of Global Markets for Americas since November 2017 and Head of Fixed Income and Currencies for Americas since 2014, both based in New-York. Prior to that, Sylvain was Head of Trading for Fixed Income and Currencies in Asia Pacific since 2012 and acted as Head of Treasury for Societe Generale in Asia, based in Hong-Kong. He held different positions in the region: he was Head of Emerging Markets Trading in Singapore since 2008 and Treasurer for Societe Generale in Tokyo in 2007. Sylvain spent three years in London from 2001 as a Senior Originator for financial institutions, and five years thereafter in Tokyo where he was a Trader on Japanese bond prior to moving to the bank side on the money market desk. He joined Societe Generale in 1993 as a trader.

Bertrand Cozzarolo started his career in 2000 as a General Inspector of Finance at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. He joined Societe Generale in 2004 as a financial research officer. In 2006, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Group's Egyptian retail banking subsidiary, before being appointed deputy General Manager of Societe Generale Expressbank (Bulgaria) in 2009. He returned to France in 2011 as Chief of Staff to Frédéric Oudéa, Chairman and CEO of the Group. From 2015 to 2021, he held different positions within Societe Generale French Retail Banking (BDDF) first as deputy Head of Strategy, Digital and Client Relationship, then as Deputy Head of Clients, Distribution and Marketing. In January 2021, he took over as Head of Corporate Department (SMEs) in addition to his functions.

He began his career in the United States in the field of artificial intelligence and consulting. Within Societe Generale for 25 years, he led the Strategic Acquisition Financing activity in London, then the Coverage activities of large customers in the energy sector. He then headed SG Consulting, the Group internal consulting firm, before being appointed Global Head of Permanent Control and Internal Control Coordination. He is a graduate of École Centrale Paris and holds a TRIUM MBA.

He joined Societe Generale at the end of 2010 as Head of IT Systems for the Group's central divisions with responsibility for setting up the Business Solution Centre. In January 2015 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Head of Innovation & Information Technology for French Retail Banking.

Jean-François was appointed Deputy Head of Risk for Societe Generale Group in January 2021.
Jean-François Despoux joined Societe Generale in 1995 to head the securitisation effort with European financial institutions. In 1997, he relocated to Asia to set-up the bank’s securitisation teams in Hong Kong and Tokyo. In 2001 he was appointed Head of European Securitisation and was named Global Head of this activity in 2007. He then was appointed deputy Global Head of Capital Market Finance and in 2008 Global Head of Societe Generale’s Real Estate & Lodging Finance business in Paris. In 2013, Jean-François was appointed Head of Global Banking and Advisory for the Americas.
Jean-François holds a Master in Applied Mathematics from ENSIMAG Grenoble and an MBA from ESCP in Paris.

Alexandre Fleury is appointed co-Head of Global Markets activities on 22 June 2021, while retaining his position as Head of Equities and Equity Derivatives which he has held since June 2018. He was previously Global Head of Equities Structured Products and Structured Financing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch since 2016.
Alexandre started his career in California working on the development of portfolio optimization software. He then spent 10 years at Societe Generale being successively based in Tokyo, New York and Paris where he carried out responsibilities in Structured Equity Derivatives Trading and Structured Credit Derivatives Trading. In 2009, he joined Credit Suisse to become Head of Quantitative Futures Trading Strategies. In 2011, he moved to Morgan Stanley where he acted as Head of Equities Structured Products for Europe and Asia, Head of European Flow Index Trading and Global Head of Hybrids Trading.
Alexandre Fleury is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris, France and has a Master of Science from the University of California, Berkeley, USA.

Delphine Garcin-Meunier began her career in 2000 at ABN Amro Rothschild in the Equity Capital Markets teams. In 2001, she joined the Equity Capital Markets department of Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB) where for 13 years she was in charge of the origination and execution of primary issues on the Equity and Equity-linked markets for a portfolio of large companies. Odile de Saivre joined Societe Generale in 1997 in the Equity Capital Market team within Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB). She spent most of her career in SG CIB, notably in the Strategic and Acquisition Finance department as well as in Asset Based Finance. In 2010, she headed the Global Finance team in charge of credit risk monitoring before moving to Russia as Deputy Head of Rosbank’s Corporate Lending Department. In 2015, she was in charge of the Project Export Finance team within Global Finance’s Export Finance business line. She is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Equipment Finance in 2017 and then Chief Executive Officer in 2022. She holds a degree from Ecole Centrale Paris.

Grégoire Simon-Barboux was appointed Group Head of Compliance on 1 January 2021.
Grégoire Simon-Barboux joined Societe Generale in 1995 in the Corporate and Investment Banking division (CIB), working notably within asset-based finance activities and the securitisation group in Europe until 2003. He then joined Real Estate and Lodging Financing activities where he held several positions including Deputy Global Head of Real Estate and Lodging. In 2011, he joined the Risk division as Global Head of Credit Assessment before being appointed Deputy Head of Credit Risk for CIB in 2013 and then Head of Risk for CIB in September 2014. He was appointed Deputy Group Chief Risk Officer in 2016.

Gianluca Soma started his career in 1984 in management consulting with Ernst & Young and then Telos. From 1994 to 1997 he was Head of international business for Hyperion Software Group, prior to joining GE Capital in 1997. In 1999 he was appointed CEO of Dial Italy, a subsidiary of Barclays Group. He joined Hertz Lease Italy as CEO in 2000. Following the acquisition of Hertz Lease by Societe Generale in 2002, Gianluca Soma served as Group Regional Director and later Deputy CEO of ALD Automotive Group. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ALD International in March 2008. Gianluca Soma was appointed to the Societe Generale Group Management Committee on July 1 2010. In October 2010 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Consumer Finance. In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Head of International Retail Banking & Financial Services Division before becoming Head of International Retail Banking for Europe. In July 2019, he was additionnally appointed Group Country Head for Russia.
An Italian national, he graduated from LUISS University in Rome with a degree in Business Administration and received an MBA from the Turin School of Business Administration.

Mathieu Vedrenne began his career in 1998 as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Societe Generale’s Inspection Department in 2001. He joined the Group Strategy Division in 2005. Between 2008 and 2011 he was Chief of Staff for Frédéric Oudéa, Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale. In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland and Secretary of the Board of Directors. In 2016, he joined Societe Generale Private Banking France as Head of Wealth Management Solutions, before being appointed Commercial Director in 2017. He is Head of Societe Generale Private Banking France since March 2019. He holds a Master’s degree from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.

Alain Voiment

Alain Voiment is appointed Chief Technology Officer for the Group as of November 2022, thereby becoming a member of the Group Management Committee. Alain Voiment was previously Chief Information Officer for Corporate Functions, a position he held since 2018.
Since 2020, he was also Chief Information Officer for Group Digital and Data Foundations. Alain Voiment joined Societe Generale in 1991 as a Telecom and Networks Engineer, before going on to hold various roles within the teams responsible for the Bank’s IT infrastructure. In particular, he was Chief Technology Officer for Corporate and Investment Banking between 2009 and 2015. He actively contributed to setting up the Global Technology Services department, of which he became Deputy Head in 2015. Alain is an engineer by training and a graduate of ESIGELEC engineering school

Georges Wega has a long industrial and banking experience acquired during his career, first at Postes Canada (Ottawa), then General Electric (Brussels and Amsterdam), Barclays Bank PLC in London, and within United Bank for Africa (UBA) initially in Nigeria, then in Cameroon where he was during 4 years Chief Executive Officer of UBA Cameroon. He then joined Societe Generale in 2014 as Deputy CEO of Société Générale Cameroun, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale Sénégal in August 2016. Since July 2018, he has been Head of the Western Africa region.
Georges Wega holds an engineering degree and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Quebec, Canada.

Guido Zoeller has held several management posts in corporate & investment banks (Commerzbank, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch). He joined Societe Generale in 2010 as Head of Coverage & Investment Banking in Germany. He was appointed Country Head for Germany for SG CIB in 2012 and became Group Country Head for Germany and Austria on 1 January 2014.
